Made Glorious Summer is a 5.8% Special Pale Ale from Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell, Derbyshire, brewed with Brussels' Brasserie de la Senne as part of the Garrett Oliver and Friends series. It was made "from the Union", Thornbridge's historic Burton Union system, where the beer ferments in a row of linked oak casks. Garrett Oliver and De La Senne's Yvan De Baets are old friends and both "knights" of Belgium's ancient brewers' guild, but this is the first time they've brewed together. The grist is African fonio grain and continental Pilsner malt, with oats and unmalted wheat for a classic Belgian touch. Can conditioned.
