Named after the ferocious winged creature of Illiniwek legend, Piasa is Tartarus's richly indulgent take on the dessert stout — a beer that earns its mythological name with sheer depth of flavour. A full bodied, rich and robust stout brewed with 8 different malts for a complex base beer, boiled for over 3 hours to produce a rich, smooth and thick mouthfeel, then conditioned on 10kg of whole coffee beans, 2.5kg of vanilla and flavoured with chocolate. The result is a luscious, layered stout where roasted bitterness, creamy vanilla and cold brew coffee weave together in every sip. One for slow evenings and dark corners. Vegan friendly.
