Named after the fantastical chimeric creature of Bavarian folklore, Wolpertinger is Tartarus's core lager — and a quietly impressive one at that. Brewed with a simple, clean malt base, fermented at 10°C for two weeks with the house lager yeast strain, and then cold-conditioned for a further six weeks, this is a clean, crisp, and slightly malty Helles-style lager. Built on a traditional grain bill of pilsner, Munich and carapils malt, and hopped with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh for an authentic German lager character. Now brewed to a gluten-free recipe and analytically tested to be gluten-free, it's one of the most accessible cans in the Tartarus range — a deceptively well-crafted lager that rewards those who appreciate the discipline of the style. Vegan friendly. Allergens: Barley.
