Delphic Brewing Co
Location: Berkshire
Delphic Brewing Company was founded in 2017 by brewer Tom Broadbank, who began experimenting with small-batch recipes on a 50L homebrew system in his Thatcham garage, just outside Newbury. What started as a creative outlet soon grew into something more, and by May 2019 Tom had secured a commercial brewing licence and squeezed a 500L kit into the same double garage. His first commercial releases โ a classic best bitter, hop-forward pale ales, and a silky milk stout โ quickly gained local attention across West Berkshire. When the pandemic hit, Delphic adapted fast, launching an online shop and delivering fresh cask ale straight to doorsteps. The brewery expanded into bottles, cans, and mini-kegs, adding more tanks to the already packed garage as the brand continued to grow.
By 2024, Delphic Brewing had outgrown its original home, and on 6th July the new taproom and brewery opened on Mayors Lane in Newbury, complete with a gleaming new brew kit visible from the bar. Still proudly small-batch, Delphic continues to brew a diverse range of beers โ from traditional, well-balanced ales to bold, innovative craft creations. Every beer reflects the same curiosity and hands-on approach that defined Tomโs early days in the garage: small-scale brewing done with big passion, creativity, and community spirit.
