A majestic, dark Doppelbock hailing from Munich’s historic Augustiner brewery. Rich and full-bodied, Maximator pours a deep ruby-amber hue crowned by a dense beige head. It unfolds with complex aromas of toasty brown bread, caramel, and dried fruits like plum and raisin, layered with cocoa, licorice, and soft earthy hops. The palate is smooth and creamy with a slight warming alcohol presence, and finishes with a subtle spice and dry balance. Brewed to coincide with Lent and following the Reinheitsgebot, this celebratory “Starkbier” is both richly indulgent and timelessly elegant.
